Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram shares his thoughts on 2015 study that establishes a connection between intake of sugary beverages and type 2 diabetes.
When findings for the British Medical Journal study on type 2 diabetes and sugary drinks were released, Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram offered his opinions. This well-known world authority on alternative medicine is always on the lookout for news and research that can help yield positive outcomes helping society be more healthy.
The findings of the study in question determined that some two million cases of type 2 diabetes in the United States and an estimated 80,000 cases in the United Kingdom over the next 10 years could result in part from the regular intake of sugar-sweetened beverages. The study, conducted by the British Medical Journal, concentrated on sugar-sweetened drinks that may have included sodas, tea, drinks made from mixes and sports drinks.
Artificially sweetened drinks and fruit juices were also taken into account. Although results were limited, the research finds that these liquids may be unsuitable as viable substitutes for sugary drinks, as they come with risks for obesity. Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram suggests water can be the ultimate substitute.
Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram agrees that drinking sugar-sweetened drinks on a regular basis can trigger the development of type 2 diabetes. He also recommends shying away from artificially sweetened beverages like diet sodas. Fruit juices may best be consumed by eating the entire fruit thereby getting additional nutrients and fiber, which usually are omitted from commercially produced juice, explains Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram.
The most common form of diabetes, type 2 is an ever-increasing problem in the U.S. and across the globe. Also called hyperglycemia, this type of diabetes triggers a rise in blood glucose (sugar) levels that is higher than average. Suffering from type 2 diabetes means that the body has developed a resistance for insulin, and the pancreas cannot create enough of it to offset the imbalance.
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes may include unquenchable thirst, blurry vision, irritability, tingling and/or numbness in the hands and/or feet, fatigue and wounds that simply won’t heal. Alternative medicine practitioners like Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram may advise that instead of treating the symptoms, to address the body as a whole and make adjustments. He says that many ancient secrets exist which help people understand what diet and herbal formulas can help them experience vibrant health in body, mind and emotions.
